We blend together love with pain
intertwine these two emotions deep within our veins
In this world where things constantly change yet redundantly remain the same
And the lingerings remain long after the feelings have faded
Without the perfect blend then our hearts would be left jaded

We blend together laughter with sorrow
in times of bleakness reminiscent smiles we borrow
letting them be our umbrella untill the storm clears
bringing in the shining sun of tomorrow

We blend together calmness with anger
to keep us from crossing the line into impulsive danger
Even still at times we are so strongly seized by emotions ,casting the reflection of a stranger

Many times life causes our emotions to run deep
seemingly without a foreseeable end
We dilute the potency by the mixture of feelings that we blend
