The beginning of love

to know what love is

I am
allowing
my soul
to be
seen
from
directions
I had not fathomed
mountains
unclimbed
skies
everlasting
worlds
newly found

I love
myself
enough
to except
love now

in lips
that do not
yet know
my names
pronunciation

eyes
that have never
seen
the expressions
of my face

ears
that have yet to hear
the rumble of my voice

I have learned
to appreciate love
in it's smallest form

I have found
it can be as simple
as a smile
making the day of someone
outside of yourself

acceptance of a fault
in a imperfect being

giving a clap
for an effort even in failure

I realize
that love
shines brightest
when you go against it's grain
when the fear of saying something wrong doesn't exist
when freedom
embraces thoughts
uncommon to the masses
when statements
do not have to be perfumed
before presentation

I am
allowing
my soul
to be seen
without
hesitation
of
second
thoughts
layered with substance
deeper than it's surface
for you
