Here I am
Smiling like a school girl as I wait at your doorstep
Ready to release all the feelings my fear’s core kept
I can’t believe I was so afraid
So scared to take the chance on answering opportunity’s phone call
To give another my heart and risk it all
This is a huge risk but it feels so safe
Because in this decision I have the utmost faith
I mean really
What do I have to look forward to in a single life except more hell?
So no more hesitation toward pushing this doorbell
I listen to it chime and it plays music in my heart
I wait for an answer with a ring in one hand
And in the other flowers
Thinking of a near future where yours and mine become ours
Then you answer the door with a look like I’ve surprised you
But wait a second
Who’s that guy behind you???
