Sanguine Soliloquy
She is merely an opportunity of close proximity
Not worth your time
Show me your dental dexterity
Begged you to bury your enamel knives within
To open up an artery
To plunge into the heart of me
Devour me heartily
Dreamt of teeth imbedded in me perfectly
Mastering the art of me
Imagining how well we’d fit
Envisioned its destined symmetry
I refuse to accept defeat
To win you I would
Lie, steal, kill and most assuredly cheat
Gladly willing to donate a quart from an extremity
To forever be your willing consort
My goal was to reign beside you in a scarlet kingdom
In time you would forget that wilted hothouse flower
What she has is oh so fleeting
My gilded thorns is just what you are needing
Lately I look deeply into your eyes; the window of your soul
Perched on your mental precipice that serves as the sill
Finally I see the truth
You never meant to keep me
A hundred years ago I used to be her
In hundred years she will be me
If you weren’t so selfish you would spare her the destiny
Of merely being another transitory thrill
You would think after so many decades I would know the drill
In spite of your lies and deceit, I love you still
Unfortunately for you, if I can’t have you no one will
With blood stained tears to your heart I deliver this mortal blow
As for her; I am in a generous mood, so she’s second to go
The last thing you hear are my words as they echo
I’ve got people to kill and places to go
