Higher learning let framework

Material used of good value
with struggle's price
Created a home described by most
as quite nice

But...

wind blew shutters
ripped the roof off its moorings
elements clapped, rain began to pour in
Mold formed from the constant humidity
devastated by virulent things getting into me

Condemned the structure,
as wood was warped
and floor boards became unstable
temporary shelter erected
so I could build when I was better able
raised new standards, enforcing the code
reinforcement for sensory overloads

now I'm good

original principles supporting construction
now storm resistant and built in direct proportion
with experience providing the learning curve
to house my valuables so they're best preserved
figuring...
Sometimes the wind's going to huff and puff
