"Jolly Times?"
  by One

Microwavable muse
melting like margarine
inbetween these margins
trying not to be mar-
ginal melting down like
we believe it's not hot
buttering popcorn drops
slowly spreading on top
since requiring salt sense
greasy kernels at bot-
tom of bag go unpopped
microwave directions
state heated this sides up
maybe if we read in-
structions then jolly times
wouldn't always leave lots
left over exposure

...after popping has stopped

"maybe if we read in- structions then jolly times wouldn't always leave lots left over exposure"--the poet whose skills get bypasses..those that were unable to pop as to say those whom already have a known name but those surroundin go for the most common...the pieces of popcorn of which the poet already is recognizable as if no needing for directions as people will simply follow along and not see the different abilities within the others...still waitin to be popped and consumed
