"His Forever"
  by Mr. RTJ

I didn’t like to argue over it
Because it wasn’t my place to say
But I couldn’t understand how you could love me
But he was the one allowed to stay
And you would ignore me because of his jealousy
As I would sit and wait nervously
For the next opportunity to hear from you
And when I do and then try to get the real feelings out of you
All I hear is I don’t know
And then you have to go
Her voice is replaced by a dial tone

I love to hear from you but not in a weakened state
Drowning problems in alcohol is something I hate
Almost as much as when you call me hurt
Because an offensive comment he’s blurt
Or appreciation he’s neglected to give
And when I say this is the decision in which you’ve chosen to live
You direct the anger at me
It seems I so easily make you upset
Then you’ll turn away
But turning away from his anger is something you won’t let
Then you’ll chase him back and let me start walking
Its ok, I know that’s the pain and alcohol talking
Then her voice is replaced by a dial tone

This concept I never understood
To be with someone so you’re not alone
But has it not been shown that one way relationships still leave you on your own
You just have the luxury of someone helping you feel down
And you’re bound by a false sense of security and hope
But to start over to find better you say nope
You refuse to cope with a harsh reality
That you may have to start over and over and over again
And get hurt over and over and over again
To find that genuine feeling that won’t fall over and end
To find someone that will love you how you should be loved
That will help you feel love at its best
Instead of having you deal with their unneeded mess
So I’ll cope with the harsh reality that it’s too late
And wish you the best in your last months of eight
He never fully appreciated you and he won’t your precious gift
I so wish I was the “he” that she made this mistake with
At that moment I realized we’d really never be back together
You’ll never be mine again, you’re now his forever

I don’t wait for the dial tone this time
