God's Blind Eye



Close your eyes and you might miss
that you are the descendants of Osiris and Isis.
So I systematically drew O's on my iris
so I can see my Goddess.
But sometimes Gods close their eyelids
hoping that you may have the hind-sight
to solve your own problems
with just enough practice.
But however you may devise your own tactics,
you must always remember that God is an actress.
Committing to many roles that may captivate your soul.
It all depends on how you cast Her.
And don't you dare look passed Her.
Because when acting takes it's toll
She looks to you for a director.
So,....... you, direct Her.
Introduce Her to Her range and direct Her to change.
Direct Her to humanity.
Direct Her to human entity.
Direct Her to the unfaithful
Direct Her to the God that created Her.
Direct Her to struggle.
Direct Her to hell and back.
Direct Her to anything that will get Her to open Her eyes again.
Direct Her......to revolution.
But don't you dare direct Her to problematic solutions.
No.
Do not direct Her to a chair.
Do not direct Her to a seat.
No.
Keep God on Her feet.
Keep Her away from diners.
Keep her away from Alabama churches.
Keep Her away from motel balconies.
Keep Her away from poetry cafes.
Keep Her away from marches and parades.
Keep Her away from
meals she had no hand in preparing
because it just might be her last.
Please, shield Her from the past.
These places are far too fake for any real actress.
You see, God is an actress and the scripture is her script.
Edited, cut, and clipped.
So before you hang on every word,
remember your freedom is God's Academy Award.
All ye heaven-bound saints,
I beg you.
Before God takes you,
please.....open Her eyes
and let Her see you.
