"Beauty and Her Beast"
  by BlessedOne
  - This Poem is a response to the poem Lost N Found by MAVRICK

I flew high above the herd looking for a safe place to land.
I saw one particular zebra with an abundance of ticks on his back.
“Bingo!” I say, “I have hit the jackpot!”
“This looks like the spot for a taste meal!”
After dining for many hours on his dinner buffet,
I wiped my beak and reclined in my seat.
Thinking that I could now safely get a little sleep.
I heard him mumble something, as he turned and looked at me.
“Thank you so much for removing my enemies.”
“They were making me weak,” he said, as he bends his head.
Then he began to cry.
“I thought that I would surely die.”
Tears were steadily streaming from his eye.
Not knowing what to say, I scratched my feathered head.
“You’re welcome, I guess. I was just looking to be fed.”
