"A River Runs Dry"
  by Foxtrot

While our hearts blaze with hate
And our hands keep on slipping
Into nature's caves
The heavens cringe at our
Propensity for lust and greed

We hear the clouds rumble
Yet they shed no tears
For we deserve not their sorrow
We are calloused beyond
Renewal or redemption

We stretch our sight
Beyond the greying hills
Deep inside we know
The deserts will come
As the river runs dry
